How do people who are stuck manage to stay stuck despite their best efforts to change? What if a change seems fine in theory, but just doesn’t happen in the real world, or perhaps it happens but isn’t maintained? What about when the client has tried any number of times to resolve an issue, but it keeps coming back? The answer is that it’s time to roll your sleeves up and get modelling at a higher level

‘…finding ways to get out of (double binds) is one of the most important things anyone can do, whether for themselves or as coaches, counsellors, therapists, parents, teachers, and consultants.’ ‘… when you get beyond them it often leads to integration, productivity and creative solutions.’ ‘everyone gets into double binds and puts others into them. It’s a phenomenon at the basis of people’s personal problems and world problems.’ - Robert Dilts quoted by Sian Pope, in ReSource, Summer 2004
In Module 7 you will:
- Learn how to spot binds ‘in the wild’
- Encounter and explore the mysteries of binds and double binds
- Unlock the secrets of how to work with people who stay bound, even when they know they are binding themselves
- Develop your ability to model the structure of binding or double-binding patterns
- Explore a process to help your clients get disentangled, Cleanly
- Understand the relationship between the Framework for Change and working with binds
“Fantastic course, lots of rich material throughout. Each module I do increases my awareness. It gives you the confidence to really get results with your clients.”
Mark Hawkswell, trainer and coach
Train at a distance, using Zoom
Our Zoom-based training is designed for you if you want all the regular Module 7 content but prefer to learn from the comfort of your own home, over time, with pauses for reflection.
Module 7 by Zoom will consist of 8 weeks, with one or more additional weeks off for consolidation during the course.
Each week will include:
-Pre-work activities. E.g. analysing a transcript, completing an activity (about 1-1.5 hours a week).
-Some reading
-Some video footage from a live training (so you can listen/watch more than once if you wish to)
-An interactive Zoom call lasting about 2 hours. These calls are used for questions and discussion about the video footage, other pre-work, and for demos and group activities. Sometimes we may split into smaller groups to do an activity, each group led by a trainer or assistant. Assistants are very experienced Clean facilitators who have a wealth of Clean experience.
-Practice group activities. This will be an activity taking 1 – 1 ¾ hours of facilitating/being facilitated in a small practice group of 2 or 3 people. The times/dates on which the practice groups meet is up to the groups themselves to arrange, at times that suit the group members. The group can choose to use Skype or Zoom for these calls.
-A trainer or assistant will listen in to 3 of your practice group sessions.
Interactive group calls
It is possible to miss an interactive call: we record the interactive calls and put them, along with the pre-work/practice activities onto our online Academy, so that anyone who has missed something can listen later (and those who attended can listen again if they wish to).
