Module 7: Binds and Double Binds

How do people who are stuck manage to stay stuck despite their best efforts to change? What if a change seems fine in theory, but just doesn’t happen in the real world, or perhaps it happens but isn’t maintained? What about when the client has tried any number of times to resolve an issue, but it keeps coming back?

Then it’s time to roll your sleeves up and get modelling at a higher level.

In Module 7 you will:

• Learn how to spot binds 'in the wild'
• Encounter and explore the mysteries of binds and double binds
• Unlock the secrets of how to work with people who stay bound, even when they know they are binding themselves
• Develop your ability to model the structure of binding or double-binding patterns
• Explore a process to help your clients get disentangled, Cleanly
• Understand the relationship between the Framework for Change and binds
• Have an opportunity for significant personal development as you practice alongside other highly skilled Symbolic Modellers.

Penny Tompkins or James Lawley (possibly both) will co-train with Wendy Sullivan, and will give live demonstrations of client work. You might even get the chance to be their client yourself!
