TestimonialsUsing metaphors takes communication to a whole new level. It brings a new dimension to business thinking and I have seen it transform people's perceptions in conflict situations. This stuff really works! John Joint Joint Coaching I'm very enthusiastic about this intensive training. The accessibility (quality of training design and trainers, time, cost, venue) of this training was really important for me. And this intensive training got directly on my best way of learning. I’m learning at my best, when I have a challenge, intensity, longer focus, immersion, diversity of high quality learning experiences. I was highly motivated for this fast track training. Donald Fortin Everyone on the programme was amazed at how deeply we got into issues without ever talking content and how insights and spontaneous resolutions seemed to appear out of thin air as we explored our own metaphors with the help of our buddies. Gavin Miekle gmeikle@bigfoot.com Excellent content, impeccably presented and managed. Flipcharts rule! Having experienced many speakers, I'd certainly put Wendy amongst the best. Paul Handforth When I was first introduced to the world of "Clean Language" I was skeptical that by standing back from my clients that I would be able to help them beyond their wildest dreams. Having now worked with "Clean" for over a year I continue to get consistent and valuable results with different people of all ages, backgrounds and problems. My only regret is not finding this wonderful technology sooner. Eddie Miller Coaching Focus Since the Clean coaching session with Judy Rees I sense that I am more aligned and more able to speak my truth. I have a stronger sense of who I am and I am happier to reveal my true self to others. I have a much greater inner balance and am more aware of my own power. Kevin Matthews Each module I do increases my awareness. It gives you the confidence to really get results with your clients. Mark Hawkswell Kaizam Do not let this opportunity slip by: grasp it. An exhilarating transformative journey awaits you, and your clients. For two years I pondered about Symbolic Modelling. In May 2005 I participated in Modules 1 & 2. June couldn't come quick enough for me to do Module 3. This August I completed Module 4. All I can say is I am sorry to all those whose recovery from the legacy of violent conflict has been delayed by my earlier deliberations. Having personal experience of violent conflict in N. Ireland, the Conflict Trauma Resource Centre (CTRC) delivers psychosocial care to people from all sectors of N. Ireland’s society; many who have psychological and emotional wounds, short or long term resident pain that, up to now, has had difficulty with finding a safe means for expression and healing. Having studied and visited other conflict zones, including S.A. (on 3 occasions), Nicaragua, the killing fields of the Balkans (Bosnia, Serbia & Montenegro). Having sat down and shared experiences with so many others in Albuquerque N.M., with veterans from WW II, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, and the 1st Gulf War; in Nicaragua at the 4th International Conference for Ex-Combatants with Sandinistas, Contras, (UPRG) guerrillas from Guatemala, Salvadorians, Columbians, Angolans, Mozambiqueans and a communist party activist from S.A. Having spanned these contexts for innocent civilian victims, to combat veteran victims, during war and at the time of the process of peace-building and at the end of violence but with its legacy still apparent for victims, combatants and bystanders, it is my testimony to say to you that Clean Language, Symbolic Modelling and Clean Space are tremendous resources that I have recently acquired. Already I am using Clean Language, Symbolic Modelling and Clean Space to great effect, affecting transformation for individuals & groups who previously wrestled with nightmares as society reconstructed in new context. Conflict Resolution, dealing with the past & present, truth recovery and visioning new relationships in contested space are all processes that I now embrace with new-found knowledge. Had I experienced Clean Language, Symbolic Modelling and Clean Space earlier, all those previously reported exchanges would, I believe, have been so much more rewarding through the generating of individual and group metaphor landscapes. Martin Snoddon When I first came across Clean I was struck by how it was absolutely the right tool for the job of spiritual exploration and direction, without a shadow of a doubt. It seems to me that if we used this tool in our parish communities they would simply become more light-filled places, where people could be free to explore their own spiritual experience with others, putting their attention on their experience rather than on their relationship with the other person. Matthew Dodwell I think it was a fantastic course, I think all of us who did it said so. It was a step up and expanded our knowledge a whole order of magnitude from Modules 1 to 4. Matthew Dodwell On a personal level I cannot believe the changes I have made. I am an NLP master practitioner and coach and have spent huge amounts in time and money in working on my own feelings, visions and state, but nothing got near to the changes I have made with this course. I am still coming to terms with the changes, but in short, I feel more complete, and I do not have the neediness that I had before. Mike Priestley I enjoyed everything about the course, from the business like industry of the trainers and participants to the fun, humour and empathy expressed by all involved. I enjoyed most, learning in a wonderful environment and the constant surprise of new discoveries every day. Mike Priestley The possibilities are unlimited. It's like opening up a whole new world. I feel as though a light bulb has been switched on. Nick Parsons We are delighted to recommend Wendy Sullivan as a highly skilled trainer of Symbolic Modelling and Clean Language. Her integrity and support for participants are as outstanding as her organisation and delivery of the material. She expertly creates the space and time for people to systemically acquire these wonderful skills. Penny Tompkins and James Lawley The Developing Company Wendy Sullivan presents this tantalizing material in a structured, clear and entertaining manner. She excels at training the process by degree through discovery, practice and iteration so that the enchanting symbolic domain of experience becomes available for both your professional and personal use. David Grove Before committing to the Summer School, I had expressed uncertainty about the effectiveness of Clean as a change agent as I had little personal experience of it. Well I am now convinced. My attitude to changing my career is now significantly different. Rasjad Johnson A single session of Clean Language facilitation made a remarkable impact on clearing old and persistent issues; I had been working on these things using other methods for over a year. The power of Clean Language to invite me deep into my own symbolic world was astonishing; so was the power of the Clean Language questions in assisting me to do significant personal work there. Scott Downs One of my most recent convincers has been using Clean Language and Space with the Head of Coaching for a major organisation. She was amazed by the additional, and highly useful, information she discovered on an issue where she'd already received extensive coaching. Marriette Castellino Being facilitated in Symbolic Modelling is like being lightly led through the garden of Eden. Alex Marshall We are now using Clean questions in our research sessions, which has proved really helpful in generating rich metaphorical imagery and language that gives our clients greater insight into their customers' experience. Maddy Morton Lucid Clean Language is like the notes of the musical scale - it can be used to create anything from a nursery rhyme to a symphony. Paul Tosey University of Surrey Business School Clean is a fantastic tool. It's just so versatile and so respectful. Sheena Bailey We've now used this with more than 250 senior managers at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. We run a two-day senior manager benchmarking and development planning event that is innovative in its design. Senior managers receive a lot of feedback during the event, so one of the key factors for success was to find a way to help managers to digest it and work with it, rather than be overwhelmed by it. Interspersed between assessment sessions there's a fairly chunky feedback session and then a co-coaching session to help them make sense of the feedback messages they've just received and to put them together with previous feedback, to see the themes that are emerging. We started using the GROW coaching model for this co-coaching session. It's well-known and useful, but it became clear that it was muddying the water in terms of the assessment process. We wanted something that wouldn’t muddy the water. Now, for co-coaching sessions, we set them up, very quickly, with a framework based on the (Clean-based) Five-Minute Coach model, and they can very quickly start to use it. It's useful because we’re trying to encourage coaching and co-coaching generally, and giving them a different model that they can use with their managers or each other, quickly and easily, makes a lot of sense. It’s gone down a storm! Some people initially seem really sceptical when I describe the method and the example, but they have a go. They often come out of the session saying: "I couldn't see how it was going to work, but when I was on the other end of it, being coached, it was great! They just let me come up with my own stuff." We've now used this with more than 250 senior managers. It’s a good first step. I have got some thoughts in mind about using it in co-coaching as an approach to embedding learning, requiring our people to think about what they can contribute to the learning experience in the business and encouraging them to do more work with a buddy following a training programme. I think Clean would be a really good approach for this. Lorenza Clifford PriceWaterhouseCoopers Wish I'd had a set of these cards when I was starting out. James Lawley Clean Language I've now completed four modules of Clean Language training. They have all been superb - beautifully presented experiential learning. The thing that strikes me most is how much I learn about myself each time I take a module. Eerily, the personal dividends keep coming in unexpected ways after the training is complete, especially in the first few days following the course. Highly recommended.
