Metaphors and Creativity

Handout: Metaphors and Creativity

Presenter: Judy Barber

Clean experience required: None

Session details

Through Clean Language we can help people to discover or create rich internal imagery and this can be encouraged and strengthened through artistic expression.

This session offers linked arts activities through which metaphors can be created and expressed. It’s an opportunity to explore metaphors in practical and imaginative ways such as drawing, clay modelling and story-telling, Cleanly of course.

In this session you’ll experience mixing arts activities with Clean Language and start imagining what alchemical mixtures of activities you might create in your own work.

Presenter’s details

Judy Barber weaves Clean Facilitation into coaching and ‘Confidence and Creativity’ workshops. She’s author of ‘Good Question! The Art of Asking Questions to Bring About Positive Change, which includes Wendy Sullivan’s chapter on Clean Questions.
