‘Three of the Best’ – CPD (Clean Practice Development) Day

This CPD day will feature tried and tested Clean applications for teams and individuals that have secured winning results in real-world settings.  The day will combine input from those responsible for delivering the applications, and a chance for you to roll up your sleeves and engage with the applications so that you leave the day able to make use of the applications in ways that suit your working environment.

‘Three of the Best’ workshops include

1.      Panning for Gold: A great tool for every Clean Consultant

In this session you will get introduced to and work with the Gold-panning Model.

Developed by Dutch Clean consultancy Gewoon aan de slag, this model condenses the Framework for Change in order to help consultants get a solid desired outcome – the gold  from clients and sponsors.

Elements of the model are: your desired outcome, developing the sponsor’s desired outcome, checking the sponsor’s necessary conditions, and checking your own.

Gewoon aan de slag has a proven track recorded in developing many successful applications of Clean for organisations. With a background in Clinical Psychology, Maaike Nooitgedagt is a consultant, trainer, and facilitator at Gewoon aan de slag.

2.      How can we go from strength to Strength?

Let’s find the resources we have in the room …!

This session provides a structured space to road-test some ‘blended’ applications designed to help individuals and teams identify successes and strengths. The blend in question is a mix of Clean Language, Clean Space and Appreciative Inquiry, change approaches that share a solutions-focused ethos. Whether working 1-to-1 or with a group, these applications help make opportunities for growth  and the choices that go with them  obvious to everyone in the room.  By the end of the session, you’ll have a range of ideas to use in any context where consolidating strengths is a necessary condition for change.

3.      Team-building with the Colleague Connector

This session focuses on ways in which metaphor, Clean Language and modelling can be used to facilitate team-working, whether the team is new and keen or long-established and operating as a set of individual silos.

We will explore ways to use Clean approaches, and some blending, to deal with niggles, build greater connection between team members, gain clarity about the team’s values and establish how the team members can learn and work well together.

In this session we’ll explore a deceptively simple six-question ‘Colleague Connector’ model designed to rapidly increase rapport and the ability to influence and motivate.  This process is invaluable in any context where you facilitate others to build rapport and ‘sell’ their ideas.  And of course you can apply the process to yourself.

Wendy Sullivan is a long-term Clean facilitator with experience of working with project teams and long-term teams who are aiming to avoid self-destructing  or who are seeking to excel.

Note: A minimum of two day’s training in Clean Language is required.
