Would you like to be part of a group of innovators exploring new uses for Clean in business? If so, then the Clean Business Exchange is the perfect event for you!
Jam packed full of high energy, practical and collaborative sessions, this event takes the use of Clean Language, Clean Space, Symbolic Modelling and Emergent Knowledge in Business to a whole new level. The Exchange is ideal for anyone using or planning to use Clean in any organisation, whether as an employee, a consultant or working in your own business. The Exchange is a powerful networking opportunity, ideal for sharing – and creating – ideas, tools and contacts with a group of like-minded people who share your enthusiasm for Clean.
We can guarantee that you’ll come away with new material, new contacts, new projects in the making, and new thoughts on how to use all you’ve gained.
Speakers and Topics
James Lawley – ‘Ways to model the written word’ – James will present 10 ways he and Penny Tompkins have modelled the written for clients as diverse as GSK, Yale University Child Study Center, the US Food and Drug Administration, and European Union environmental projects. With a practical element, this session aims to open everyone’s awareness to what is possible with a Clean and Symbolic Modelling perspective.
This topic has the potential to be directly relevant to everyone in the room and we are very fortunate to have James, with all his expertise, talking on this topic: you are guaranteed to have your thinking moved on considerably by this session.
Lynne Cooper – ‘The Five-Minute Impact’ Many powerful organisational interventions start with small steps. We often have five minutes or less to achieve an impact. What kind of five-minute impact do you want to make? In this session we’ll experiment with the principles of the Five-Minute Coach to discover and develop other five-minute applications, to maximise your impact –rapidly! And there won’t be a symbol in sight. Metaphors – who needs ‘em?
Having had a successful business career, Lynne’s presentations at previous Clean Business Exchanges have been highly valued for their practical, no nonsense nature. People leave Lynne’s sessions with greater confidence in their ability to use Clean in business and with very practical ideas on how to do this.
Maurice O’Shea – ‘Map your business future’ – Creating your business vision and strategy on one page: a model for creating successful business vision and strategies for entrereneurial businesses, combining strategic business models with clean facilitation and change.
Maurice, a Certified Clean Facilitator, has a high-flying business background as a CFO and CEO, and a deep understanding of what works in business. He has been refining and honing his one page ‘map’ over months and has generously offered to share some parts of it during this session.
Michael Mallows – ‘Clean and Crafty Action Learning’ – Curious Responsive Assertive Focused Thoughtful Yes [Positive Attitude]! Crafty Attributes, Well-formed Outcomes, Three Headline Questions and more – all Cleanly Processed. For managers, supervisors, coaches, teachers, Team Leaders and others who want to encourage, motivate or inspire individuals, teams, or groups to develop best practice and increase self-efficacy. Excellent when things go and people do well, even better when they don’t!
Michael has an enormous amount of experience of working with individuals, teams and groups, and is a perennial favourite as a speaker.
Wendy Sullivan – ‘Step into space and tap into language for success’ – a flexible, Lite approach to engage a group in thinking new thoughts for resolving an issue/reaching a desired outcome. It can be used in many contexts but we will explore the marketing of Clean and metaphor.
Wendy will unveil a variation on the ’Sensory – Conceptual – Metaphoric’ model-turned-activity which began life at the recent Module 8 training, where the whole group participated in developing it.
Previous participants said:
- “As a result of the dedication, enthusiasm, and collaborative attitude that stood out so strongly in both the organisers and the attendees, I can confidently say that this was one of the best events I have attended… I arrived with nothing but expectant curiosity, yet I left with many new ideas, thoughts, questions, and a load of contacts with a great bunch of people.”
- “The CBE gave me so much. An outcome for me was to meet potential collaborators. I thought the whole event embodied a great generosity of spirit.”
- “I’ve had a great time. You brought some high-caliber thinkers together and it’s been a valuable experience, personally, professionally and socially.”
This year’s event is in Richmond, West London on 11 November 2011 and is available to everyone who has completed Modules 1 and 2 or 4 days of Clean training.
People who’ve been to our previous Exchanges, even those with only a little experience of Clean, have valued the quality and usefulness of presentations. The Exchange creates a very special kind of energy and provides opportunities to network and brainstorm with other professionals using Clean in business.
If you want to greatly increase your ability to apply Clean to practically any work context, and are delighted or intrigued by innovative and practical approaches of Clean in the business environment, then the Exchange will benefit you. Harnessing the power of Clean and expanding everyone’s ideas on how to apply metaphor and processes in the business environment, this year’s Clean Business Exchange is set to be our best yet.
