Learning Clean Language is like learning to play the piano. Anyone can play something, straight away. But with training and practice, your skills will develop beyond a one-finger nursery tune. Soon you'll be playing more beautiful, more complex music, with the flexibility to 'sight read' in a wide variety of situations. We offer a structured progression through our eight-Module programme:
- Introducing Clean Language and Metaphor or Module 1 by phone
- Targeting Change
- Changing for Good
- Space for Success
- Modelling Universally
- Modelling Uniquely
- Binds and Double Binds
- Integration and application
Two levels of Certification are available, testing the skills developed on Modules 1-4 and 5-8 respectively.
To ensure you have the basic skills in place before moving on to more complex ways of using Clean, we ask that Modules are taken in numberical order, but Foundation-level Certification is not required to join the Advanced Modules. If you have already studied with another Clean Language trainer, we can arrange for you to join our programme at an appropriate level. The programme is free-standing and we do not require our trainees to have NLP or other personal development skills before joining.
Our trainings are led by Wendy Sullivan - co-author of the book Clean Language: Revealing Metaphors and Opening Minds. Penny Tompkins and James Lawley, the authors of Metaphors in Mind and the world leaders of the Clean field, co-train with Wendy on our Advanced Modules and assess candidates for Certification. Wendy is an expert in accelerated learning techniques, so when you learn Clean Language with us you can expect lots of practical experiences, as well as a solid structure on which to hang your learning. Wendy's students are now using their Clean skills on five continents.

Module 8 is our integration module in which you’ll assimilate all you’ve learned into a coherent Clean approach. This is an opportunity to super-charge your facilitation and modelling skills, consider how you’ll embody Clean principles in all you do, and experiment with designing new Clean processes that are appropriate to a wide range of situations and contexts.
