A director within the UK National Health Service in Lancashire found a chance to use Clean when he found himself in an unfamiliar role.
He said: “I was able to use a number of Clean questions when I chaired a grievance hearing recently. This was the first time I had undertaken this role and I was naturally anxious about how the hearing would proceed.
“I gained confidence in the early stages of the meeting when my request to both parties to focus on the “core issues” and to help me find “common ground” was well received. I was able to use questions such as “is there anything else about….?”, “and what you would like to have happen” and “what happens next?” to move the hearing towards an agreed action plan.
“The broader awareness I have gained from coaching of not putting my agenda into the meeting was also invaluable. It is likely that I will be asked to chair another hearing at some stage and in preparation for this, I will be keen to use a full Clean set-up to help the parties prepare for the hearing.”
