Hi [member_name_first],
Welcome to the February edition of the Clean community newsletter. We hope you like our new look.
Spring's come early here, with daffodils in bloom a month before they 'should' be. For me, that's like the Clean community - bursting with irrepressible energy, rushing forward, powered by sheer excitement. And part of the purpose of this newsletter is to provide opportunities for you, and your clients, to blossom. Which will you choose this month?

Summer in Cambridge
The historic university town of Cambridge is a magical place. And the venue for our summer school is among the most stunning buildings there. Built around a beautiful grassed quadrangle almost begging for a four-minute-mile race around its edge, and complete with elegant panelled teaching rooms and chapels, it could easily be a film location. Instead, it's going to be the base for our the first-ever fast-track Clean Change training - Modules 1 to 4, plus a Certification event, packed into 12 intense days. Book before the end of February and save up to £645. Details here.
Knowing where to tap
In the well-known metaphor for change-work an expert boiler-man's hammer tap restores a heating system to working order - he charges not for the tap, but for knowing where to tap. How do Penny Tompkins and James Lawley know where to tap when they work with clients? Modelling the Modelling Masters, a two-day event in Bath next week, aims to find out. Full details of the event are here, and the results will be written up for a forthcoming article. Look out for news of that in our next monthly newsletter.
Cleaning tip
People's gestures are fascinating - and provide important clues to what's really going on for them. When someone makes a specific gesture whenever they mention a particular thing, at some level that's probably where it is for them. If you later want to refer to that thing, gently look at the place they gestured to as you mention it, to help them access even more information about it.
Who do you know who...?
Isaac Asimov apparently said: "It pays to be obvious, especially if you have a reputation for subtlety." So here goes. Clean Change company's mission is to reach 10% of the world's population with the principles of Clean. Please help us to achieve that target.

And if you already know about Clean, who could you talk to about the principles of Clean? Our mission doesn't say that we personally will tell every one of) the 10% - which, by the way, is about 668,897,500 people!
Clean listening
This month we've gone all multimedia, with new audio files available for download instead of a new article. You can hear:
Modelling Creativity: Workshop and Blog
A shared interest in creativity has inspired Clean trainers and facilitators Marian Way and Phil Swallow to join forces to find out more about how it works and what needs to happen for an individual to be more creative. Their blog, Modelling Creativity, seeks to explore this topic in more detail, and your comments and contributions are welcome. And their workshop, Discover Your Creative Self, will run in Chichester, West Sussex, on 14-15 July. Solo and group activities - based on a Clean approach - will enable participants to explore and express their own creativity.
Clean Business Exchange
Plans are really moving for this event in Hammersmith on 29-30 March. If you have used Clean in business or organisations, or if you're planning to, this is a chance to broaden your horizons in terms of what's possible and do-able using Clean interventions. That could mean you're equipped to take on a wider variety of projects, including profitable opportunities which you might previously have rejected as 'too risky'. And if you're looking to work with others in the Clean community, it'll be a great 'talent-spotting' opportunity. If you'd like to be involved, email info@cleanchange.co.uk for your invitation. |
