Session details
David Grove's former partner introduces the development and evolution of epistemological metaphors. Derived from work they were back in the 1980s on developing primary process language, and bridging to more contemporary work done at retreat centres in Eldon, the Lake District and in the US. This talk is suitable for those who have a working knowledge of Clean Language and epistemological metaphor.
You'll find out how to:
- translate the client's information out of the linear dimension of words into the multi-dimensional natural language form of primary language
- recognise the importance and value of developing the inherent wisdom encoded in symptoms, in order to provide an opportunity for change
- learn how the process of sacred, primary language is processed to develop the therapeutic narrative
- notice the integral differences between internal and external metaphors
- discover how the therapist can use epistemological metaphors as a contextual marker that charts and maps the progress and success of an intervention
