Information for Coaching, Therapy and Supervision Clients

Wendy Sullivan

My therapeutic focus is on working one-to-one with individuals and I also work as a trainer. I am a trainer of Clean Language and Symbolic Modelling, and have worked extensively with the originators of the field over the past eight years. I am also a qualified trainer of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and use this set of skills alongside Clean Language and Symbolic Modelling in my work with individual clients. Please see www.cleanchange.co.uk if you would like more information about these approaches. My professional background is in Speech and Language Therapy, which also informs my work with therapeutic clients.

I am registered with the Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (NLPtCA) and I am working towards accreditation with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a psychotherapist in January 07.

What you can expect

I tailor my specific therapeutic approach to the needs of each client, facilitating them to work in ways which respect their beliefs and values while promoting their wellbeing and potential.

I work to the NLPtCA Code of Ethics and Conduct, Supervisory requirements and Complaints procedure, and you can read these in full on www.nlptca.com.

I am required to keep the details of clients and their sessions confidential and you can be assured that you are covered by the Data Protection Act in terms of me maintaining confidentiality. There may be exceptional circumstances where I might have concerns of an ethical and moral nature, (e.g. if the client were in immediate danger of harming themselves or others), when I would discuss the client with relevant professionals, but this would only be done in consultation with the client in the first instance.

In my supervision sessions I may present case material to other professionals working under a similar ethical code. In these circumstances, clients’ identities will not be revealed. My client notes will be kept securely, electronically or on paper, for four years.

Please be aware that any significant time spent in sessions running over time, or between sessions on phone calls, emails etc will be billed pro rata.

What I expect from you

Please demonstrate your commitment process by arriving on time for sessions at 18, Byfield Road, Isleworth TW7 7AF, or phoning as arranged, allowing 90 minutes per session. If phoning for a telephone session, please call from a quiet environment.

If you need to reschedule, please give as much notice as possible. Less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the session being charged for.

You are responsible for any actions, and the results of any actions, you may choose to take as a result of our sessions, and should only enter into this relationship on that basis. If I make suggestions it is on the understanding that you will only take action which you consider appropriate and which accords with your values.

I will ask you to sign this sheet at our first appointment.
